Privacy Notice

This explains how Captured Cases uses the information you give us when you design and buy a custom phone case online.

Who We Are

Captured Cases is the controller for personal information collected through this website and our online checkout.

For privacy questions or data rights requests, contact us at orders@capturedcases.co.uk.

What We Collect

We collect the details needed to make and deliver your order: your uploaded image, selected phone model, case type, print position, order notes, name, email, phone number, delivery address, payment reference and order status.

We also ask optional questions such as where you heard about us and what the order is for. You can leave these blank.

Why We Use It

We use order information because it is needed to make your case, take payment, arrange delivery, provide support and manage refunds or disputes.

We use optional questionnaire answers for our legitimate interests in understanding customer demand, improving stock decisions and measuring which channels bring customers to Captured Cases. These answers are not treated as marketing consent and are not used to send marketing emails.

We keep payment, order and accounting records where required for tax, fraud prevention and legal compliance.

How Long We Keep It

Uploaded images are private and are scheduled for deletion after fulfilment. Paid order images are kept for up to 30 days after completion so we can handle remake or support requests.

Images attached to abandoned or unpaid checkouts are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours.

Order, payment and delivery records may be kept for up to 7 years where needed for accounting, tax, dispute handling and business records. Optional questionnaire answers are stored with the order record and can be removed on request where we no longer need them.

Who Processes It

We use trusted service providers to run the website, store private order images, process payments, send order emails and deliver orders. These include Vercel, Neon, Stripe, Resend and delivery providers used to fulfil your order.

We only share information needed for that service. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Captured Cases.

Your Rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information. You can also object to uses based on legitimate interests, including optional customer insight questions.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.

Security And Transfers

We use private image storage, HTTPS, authenticated staff access and limited access controls to protect order data.

Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens, we rely on their appropriate transfer safeguards.
